Welcome to the River Raisin Water Monitoring and Restoration School Project!
River Raisin Institute and schools within the River Raisin Watershed are collaborating on water monitoring and restoration activities.
In Spring 2005, eight schools participated in the collection of macroinvertabrates and assessment of stream conditions at designated areas along the River Raisin. In 2006, the project expanded to include testing for fecal coliform and other suspended solids.
Now in 2007, local schools launched restoration projects that are slated for completion by December 2008.
This wiki site is designed for students to share their monitoring and restoration activities, narratives, poetry, photos, research and resources or anything related to the River Raisin.
